When a professor told me almost a year ago that I needed to take the opportunity to study abroad, he did not realize how his confidence in my own ability helped me to make this decision. The encouragement helped me let go of reasons I was holding on to as excuses to stay. And now, even though I am very frightened, I plan on boarding a plane in September and trading one continent for another.

This blog will be an effort to chronicle my journey as I attempt to maneuver around a new city, while simultaneously boosting my GPA and learning as much as possible. Here, I will blog about the ensuing adventures, insights, discoveries and mishaps and I’ll share any accompanying (but not incriminating) photographs.

As an American student studying abroad in England, I’m sure to experience a lot of new things. I expect I will have a lot of questions and even more awkward moments. Could get interesting..

This is a place for me to reflect and share this exciting and different part of my life. I am hoping to learn a lot about this historic and culturally rich city. I’m hoping to learn a lot about myself.
And hopefully I won’t get too lost in London.
